Wood burning stoves - Design IKI sauna stoves
The first design wood-burning stove KIVI-IKI designed by dSign Vertti Kivi & Co in co-operation with IKI-Kiuas Ltd. was launched at the Habitare interior fair in 2009. KIVI-IKI was born from the idea of introducing living fire to the sauna room in order to add powerful sensations and transparency to the sauna experience.
The large glass hatch in the stove challenges traditional form factors and brings the compelling visual presence of fire into the sauna. The stove's see-through window allows the light of the fire to illuminate the sauna with its natural glow and animation. |
